Music festival over three years for drug dealer has been jailed.

Harry Lock was told by a judge from the message that people should go out this year, V Festival in Chelmsford caught selling drugs will be put in jail.

Lock, 22, was caught with a bag full of drugs including cocaine at last year’s festival in Hylands Park.

Chelmsford Crown Court how the festival secret police officers were heard about 532mg of selling cocaine and Class C drug piperazine by Lock about 700g.

He also seven grammes of cocaine in a bag and was 70 piperazine pills, the court heard.

Lock, from Duddington Close, Mottingham, south east London, drug and intent to supply them with intent to appear in court when he filed charges.

Judge Christopher Ball told Lock: “The V Festival brings tens of thousands of mainly young people to Chelmsford year-in and year-out and one of the problems we encounter year-in and year-out are people like you, who come down to the festival to exploit it, to peddle drugs. Parents, knowing their children are going there, do so worried they will be tempted into drug use.

“You were there as a commercial enterprise, peddling misery for profit and I must mark the gravity of what you have done by a sentence sufficiently long to bring the message home, both to you and people like you, who might be tempted in a few months’ time to come down to Hylands Park and do what you were doing."

Kelly Bailey, 22 of Milton,, Stoke - Trent - But, with two £ 175 cost for the festival tickets ordered, nor was she forged.

She said: “I ordered the tickets off a website that generally looked safe, not knowing I was getting scammed.

“I was really annoyed when I found out what I bought were copies.

“I demanded a refund but by this time the real tickets had been sold out so I won’t be able to attend the festival this year.”

Kelly added, “Luckily I got my money back”.

A CANVEY man who dealt drugs at the V Festival, in Chelmsford, has been spared further time in jail after being on remand.

Scott Gater, 22, of High Street, was found with 23 wraps of an ecstasy-type drug known as Mandy2 at the festival, in Hylands Park, on August 20, after he tried to sell the drugs to undercover police.

Gater admitted three counts of possessing a Class C drug with intent to supply at Basildon Crown Court.

He was given a 12-month community supervision order and must undertake 250 hours unpaid work.

The V Festival weather is really swinging for both twin site Chelmsford and Staffordshire event.

Well, with the gates of V Festival set to swing open this afternoon ClashMusic can reveal that the weather is expected to stay mild and dry.

With headliners including Kings Of Leon, Kasabian and Stereophonics thousands of fans are due to descend on both the Staffordshire and Chelmsford sites this weekend.

Troublemakers V Festival will be thrown out

V Festival trouble makers at this month have been given a stark warning that they will be thrown out and prosecuted if caught.
The message comes from Staffordshire Police who will use an aerial camera and number plate recognition software to spot those who plan to commit crime.
At their disposal officers will also have CCTV to monitor the crowds at the annual festival.
With 85,000 tickets sold, up to 90,000 people are expected to descend on Weston Park including 75,000 campers.
Headlining this year are the Kings of Leon on August 21 and 22, Kasabian, The Prodigy and Doves.
The site has been licensed covering the site from August 20 to 23.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras, which scan car registration numbers, will be used to weed out known offenders or people linked to crime as they enter the site. Extensive CCTV coverage and the force’s aerial camera will be used to target offenders across the whole site, including car parks. There will also be large numbers of uniformed and under cover officers on site.
In violence people involved, disorder or any other crime face instantly ejection along with criminal prosecution. Supt Dave Holdway, one of the event commanders, said: "Staffordshire Police has a proven track record in policing the V Festival and other major events. We want to reassure local residents that we are doing everything we can to minimise disruption and tackle anyone who travels to the area with plans to commit crime or anti social behaviour.
"V has built a national reputation for its trouble free, low crime atmosphere and is rightly regarded as one of the UK's safest festivals. A robust policing plan is drawn up months before the event as part of detailed organisational work with the promoters."
Anyone who witnesses crime at the festival can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or text the information to 60066, prefixing their message with 'vfest'. Festival goers will be able to receive important free site information via Bluetooth on their mobiles.

V Festival ADVICE for the tens of thousands attending this year's has been put on the Essex Police website.
The new festival section is designed to make sure people have a safe and enjoyable time.
Safety tips it includes, a film with Chief Supt Jed Stopher about policing the festival and information about how to avoid buying fake tickets.
In Chelmsford the festival will be held on the weekend of August 21 and 22.
